Carewest is looking for a qualified Therapy Assistant for the Glenmore Park location. In this full-time role, you will facilitate treatments as outlined by Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for seniors with psychiatric needs. The position plays a vital role in the short-stay Geriatric Mental Health Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy sessions as directed by therapy professionals
- Implement muscle and joint treatment practices
- Conduct vocational training to aid client functionality
- Accurately document client responses and improvements
- Liaise with healthcare professionals for coordinated care
Requirements:
- Diploma in Rehabilitation Therapy is mandatory
- Completion of an accredited Therapy Assistant program
- Essential previous experience in therapeutic care
- Proficiency in computer skills preferred
- Valid police background check is required
