The Program Specialist supports clients in Québec's health care network in using CIHI indicators, analytical reports and e-tools. This role also coordinates and administers information, documents and activities that support Québec office initiatives. Key responsibilities include developing and disseminating information and products; contributing to Québec office work plans and budget-related activities; preparing periodic reports; and collaborating and liaising with a range of internal partners.
What you'll do Supports the Québec Ministry of Health and the Québec health care network in their use and understanding of CIHI indicators, analytical reports and e-tools, including the ability to explain methodological aspects and Québec nuances of indicators.
Develops an in-depth understanding of CIHI indicators and e-tools that include Québec data and keeps abreast of new indicators and methodological changes of existing indicators.
Gains and maintains a thorough understanding of Québec data including how these data are transformed and integrated into various CIHI data holdings.
Develops and maintains strong relationships and works collaboratively with a variety of internal colleagues, chiefly the HSP team, as well as external stakeholders.
Coordinates operational and logistical aspects related to new projects involving the Québec office and the Québec Ministry of Health, including organizing meetings, drafting and developing meeting materials, and writing and translating (for internal use) meeting notes.
Contributes to Québec office operational and financial planning and deliverables, environmental scanning activities as well as regular internal and external reporting (e.g., corporate reporting, monthly status reports, quarterly and annual reporting to the Québec Ministry of Health).
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of national, provincial and regional issues relating to healthcare, health information and stakeholder information needs in general.
Represents the team, department and organization internally and externally, including participation on committees, working groups, delivery of presentations and/or attendance at conferences, and other activities as required.
What you'll bring to the table Undergraduate degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in health care or related sectors, with strong accountability, project coordination, project management and analytical skills.
Experience in stakeholder engagement, consultation, and relationship building.
Experience with electronic information sources, web content management, and digital dissemination practices.
Experience organizing and coordinating meetings and events.
Relevant experience engaging with patients, clients, or customers.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to tailor communications for diverse audiences.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Skilled in synthesizing and summarizing complex information for varied audiences.
