Client: Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL)
Location: Primarily remote, with travel to CNL sites as required; travel expenses paid
Program duration: 16 months
Consultant availability sought: 12–16 weeks
Security clearance: No existing clearance required; CNL will arrange clearance
Morson Edge is seeking a Training and Competency Development Specialist for a proposed assignment supporting CNL's Project Management Capability Program. The consultant will help define project management competencies, identify training needs, and develop practical learning materials for project professionals.
Responsibilities
Design or refine project management competency frameworks and qualification pathways.
Conduct training needs assessments using capability assessment findings and stakeholder input.
Identify learning priorities for different project management roles and experience levels.
Develop adult learning programs, training plans, and supporting materials.
Recommend ways to evaluate learning outcomes and track capability development.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of relevant experience in competency development, training design, or organizational learning.
Experience designing competency frameworks and conducting training needs assessments.
Experience developing adult learning programs and training materials.
Strong writing, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preference for experience in nuclear, energy, major capital projects, engineering, or similarly regulated environments.
