Director, Data Centres and New Large Loads - Power Market

Anoverview of your future role at BBA

BBAsupports all players across the energy ecosystem, including power generation, transmissionand distribution. We also support large industrial energy users, mainly in the mining, oil and gas sectors. More recently, we've seen growing demand from a new categoryof large energy consumers, particularly data centres. To date, BBA'sinvolvement in the data centre market has been largely reactive, with developersand builders reaching out to us for our expertise in grid interconnections and powersystems. Going forward, BBA will take a deliberate and proactive approach tothis market by establishing a dedicated data centre business line.

Drawingon more than 45 years of experience solving complex electrical challenges,BBA's go-to-market strategy will be guided by the following principles:

  • Avoid commoditybuilding design and leverage strategic partnerships where appropriate.
  • Focus on projects largerthan 25 MW.
  • Lead the high-voltagescope.
  • Lead grid integrationactivities.
  • Lead substationdesign and delivery.
  • Lead generationstrategy development.
