Alaska Avenue Dental is seeking a registered and/or certified Dental Assistant for maternity leave coverage until October 2027. This role involves assisting dentists, managing patient comfort, taking X-rays, and ensuring a clean workspace. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for dental procedures
- Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments
- Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
- Perform sterilization and infection control procedures
- Update patient charts and educate on oral hygiene
Requirements:
- Certification as a Dental Assistant is required
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- Commitment to professional ethics and patient care
- Ability to follow safety and regulatory guidelines
