Terra Nova is hiring experienced Legal Scopists as its legal transcription company expands. The work centers on scoping legal transcripts for accuracy and completeness. Candidates need recent legal transcription, scoping, or court reporting experience, plus strong legal terminology and formatting knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scope legal transcripts for accuracy and completeness
- Apply correct legal terminology and formatting
- Correct grammar and punctuation throughout transcripts
- Meet deadlines while maintaining consistent quality
- Produce 300 or more pages weekly
Requirements:
- Two or more years recent relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of legal formats and terminology
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must live and work in Canada
- Windows computer meeting stated technical requirements
