Job Overview As an Associate, you will provide support across a wide range of strategic and analytical projects. The role requires an interest in financial markets, particularly the wealth and asset management sectors. The Associate will play a critical role in supporting Ninepoint's corporate development and ETF teams. This role requires an understanding of basic corporate finance along with financial markets, including the wealth and asset management sectors. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the evaluation of potential investment opportunities, partnerships, and strategic initiatives. Conducting market research and industry analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in asset management and financial markets. Assisting in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence of potential acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. Preparing presentations, reports, and pitch decks for senior management and stakeholders. Analyzing competitive positioning, key performance indicators, and growth strategies of industry peers. Participating in cross-functional projects to support business growth and operational efficiencies. Collaborating with internal teams, including finance, investment management, and operations, to advance strategic initiatives. Conduct product-level analytics including AUM trends, fund flows, competitor benchmarking, pricing analysis, and yield/distribution comparisons across Canadian, U.S., and European ETF markets. Support ETF product development, including researching underlying exposures, assessing derivatives/covered-call strategies, evaluating replication methods (physical vs. synthetic), and analyzing cost structures for multi-listing (e.g., LSE, Xetra, Euronext). Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Enrollment in a Bachelor's or master's program in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling. A basic understanding of corporate finance, M&A, and investment principles. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, while managing multiple priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Previous internship, co-op, or coursework related to finance, investments, or corporate strategy (an asset but not required).
