About the Project: The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometres farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components. Position Overview: Amico Affiliates is seeking a highly skilled GIS Specialist to join the ECWE-SRS project team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and visualizing geospatial data to support project planning, design, and execution. This role requires strong technical expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases, maps, and spatial datasets for the ECWE-SRS project. Conduct spatial analysis to support project planning, design, and reporting requirements. Produce high-quality cartographic outputs and visualizations for presentations, reports, and stakeholder communications. Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate geospatial data integration. Assist in the collection and verification of field data using GPS and other surveying tools. Ensure GIS data complies with company standards and industry best practices. Support data management workflows, including metadata creation, quality control, and version control. Qualifications: Post-secondary degree or diploma in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or equivalent platforms. Strong understanding of geospatial data formats, projections, and coordinate systems. Experience with spatial analysis, database management, and cartography. Familiarity with CAD software is an asset. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
