This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate, motivated, and ready to develop their underwriting skills. No extensive experience is required—just a willingness to learn, strong work ethic, and a desire to be part of a thriving team. We will provide full coaching, mentoring, and a clear career path to help you succeed.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyzing new business and project extensions and providing terms based RAISE's underwriting guidelines- Developing clear and concise underwriting proposals for accounts which may fall outside underwriting authority- Negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing within the parameters of RAISE's program underwriting guidelines/authorities- Identifying opportunities to upsell coverage, limits, or products- Maintaining high levels of service with solutions-orientated approach- Building a network of relationships with brokers and various markets- Keeping current on industry and market trends and sharing knowledge internally and with clients- Monitoring the current portfolio and assisting with peer audits on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with existing/new contracts- Contributing to the expansion of the RAISE brand through marketing with existing and new broker partnersEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum of 2 years of underwriting experience- University degree/college diploma or equivalent experience- CIP or FCIP designation, preferred- High level of customer service and proven success in building and maintaining effective business relationships- Ability to analyze and evaluate contract language- Strong interpersonal, communication, excel and word skills- Strong time management and organizational skillsWhat We Offer- Full training, coaching, and mentorship—we invest heavily in developing your underwriting skills.- A clear career development path for long-term growth within our organization.- A supportive, collaborative environment with strong company culture and core values.- An opportunity to build your expertise in the construction insurance segment—one of the fastest-growing areas in P&C.- A team that truly works hard and plays harder, celebrating wins together.Who We're Looking For- Someone passionate about a career in construction underwriting.- A motivated self-starter who is curious, analytical, and eager to grow.- Strong communicator with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced and engaging environmentAPPLICATIONS If you're looking to start or grow your underwriting career in a company that values development, culture, and opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
