Job Description
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an Electricians to gain hands-on experience on large-scale new construction projects. You will support installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments while developing your technical skills under the guidance of experienced trades professionals.

Responsibilities

Assist with electrical installations on new construction projects Support commercial construction work such as new builds, retrofits, and renovations in various facilities. Run and install conduit, including bending and installing conduit up to 4 inches as required by project specifications. Pull electrical wire and cable safely and efficiently according to drawings and standards. Assist with installation of electrical wiring, lighting systems, and associated equipment.

Support the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems as directed by advanced electricians. Read and interpret basic blueprints and drawings to understand routing for conduit, wiring, and equipment placement. Essential Skills Experience in new construction electrical work, particularly in commercial environments. Hands-on experience with commercial construction projects, including new build commercial sites. Ability to bend conduit and run conduit up to 4 inches in diameter.

Proficiency in pulling wire and installing electrical wiring and cable. Basic ability to read and follow blueprints and construction drawings. Valid WHMIS certification. Valid CSTS certification. Valid AWP (Aerial Work Platform) and Fall Pro certifications.

Work Environment

You work primarily on active construction sites, including a major data center in the northeast area and potentially additional commercial sites in the southwest part of the city. Shift: Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with overtime available after 44 hours in a week.

& Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.00
- $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
