Role Summary
The primary objective of this engagement is to provide Oracle software development support and application maintenance for the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. The developer translates technical systems specifications into working, tested applications and resolves technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages.

A junior software developer who will be responsible for developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests. The developer resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations. The developer is the individual ultimately responsible for developing quality software solutions. The developer's primary responsibility is to drive the development effort from start to finish. The developer must ensure that the solution is completed on schedule, within the defined budget and that the final product meets the business, technical, accessibility, and established quality requirements.

The selected contractor must be familiar with Oracle E-Business application customizations and extensions, Oracle database programming, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, Unix shell scripts, Oracle Data Integrator, and Oracle E-Business modules including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounts Payable and Inventory. The developer will need to rely on their proven experience delivering solutions to a successful implementation, and their judgment, to plan and accomplish goals. Strong interpersonal skills are required when consulting with the program area and various IT teams to define requirements and to analyze and resolve problems, ensuring collaboration and agreement with recommended solutions.

Additional Skills For Oracle Software Developer

Experience in conducting impact assessments on Oracle E-Business application customizations and extensions.

Strong conversion experience in Account Receivable Collection modules.

Strong programming skills in Oracle database, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, Unix shell scripts and Oracle Data Integrator.

Proved business knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounts Payable and Inventory Modules of Oracle E-Business.

Great knowledge of Oracle E-Business table structure related to GL, AR, Collections, AP, INV and FND.

Strong knowledge of SQL tuning and using partition tables.

Demonstrated experience and understanding of data warehouse, ETL methodologies and OBIEE.

Demonstrated work experience on Java and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF) will be a great asset.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership abilities to be able to oversee the quality assurance of the project from technical perspective.
