Join Celestica as a Linux Desktop Engineer, specializing in endpoint management and security for advanced engineering environments. This full-time position combines technical expertise with a focus on developer needs.
You will oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of high-performance Linux systems, particularly HP ZBook workstations on Ubuntu. Your role will center around optimizing workstations for seamless operation and enhancing security protocols. Collaborating with the Hardware Platform Solutions team, your contributions will directly support engineering tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize HP ZBook workstation configurations
- Develop automated software installation packages using BigFix
- Administer security applications including Zscaler and ThreatLocker
- Implement customization for developer workflow
- Execute monthly patching cycles effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a tech-related field
- Minimum 3 years in IT for engineering environments
- Direct experience with HCL BigFix
- Advanced knowledge of Ubuntu Linux and toolchains
- Scripting expertise in Bash or Python
