Rocksolid Landsculpting Corporation is seeking a Concrete Finisher for its location in Vancouver, BC. It’s a full-time (34 hours per week), all-year-round, permanent position, $36.00 38.00/hour (depending on experience). Overtime compensation is based on the current BC Employment Standards Act (1.5 times the regular wage paid if the daily hours exceed 8 hours or the weekly hours exceed 40 hours). Job duties: • Place, level, and finish concrete surfaces for driveways, sidewalks, curbs, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor landscape features, using hand and power tools such as trowels, screeds, and power floats. • Install and finish natural and manufactured stone elements (such as paving stones, flagstones, and wall blocks) in landscaped areas, ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and structural stability. • Set up and dismantle formwork and bracing stone features, ensuring accurate dimensions and adherence to site plans. • Prepare job sites by placing gravel base, and establishing proper slopes and drainage for both concrete and stone surfaces. • Interpret and work from layout drawings and site grading plans to execute stone installations according to landscape design specifications. • Repair and patch damaged concrete and stone installations, including replacing cracked sections and restoring surface texture or color. • Install Fibar engineered wood play surfacing in designated playground areas by spreading, leveling, and compacting material to meet safety and accessibility standards. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following company procedures and safety regulations at all times, particularly when working with heavy materials or power tools.
