Cost Controller

Job DescriptionOverviewThe Cost Controller supports project teams by ensuring effective cost management, reporting, and analysis throughout the project lifecycle. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate cost records, assisting with forecasting, and collaborating with project controls and finance teams to optimize project outcomes.Your roleEnsure project setup follows established Project Controls processes, procedures, and standards.Track actuals, analyze forecasts and trends, prepare regular cost status reports, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions.Monitor, control, and report on project and program performance throughout the lifecycle, including budget variances and time accumulation.Assist with cost control solutions, support cost report updates each reporting period, and ensure accurate commitment tracking for purchase orders.Collaborate with planners and other Project Controls team members to maintain an integrated cost-schedule control system and update estimate-to-complete based on progress.Contribute to client reporting, prepare cash flow forecasts, support change management processes, and interface with the Financial Shared Services Centre for invoicing.Present findings to stakeholders as required and perform special assignments, ad hoc reporting, and other related duties.About youBachelor's degree in a relevant field.Minimum 2 years of cost control experience in project environments.Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize tasks.Experience supporting programs with multiple projects and initiatives.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and EcoSYS.Rewards & benefitsExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive - at every stage of your life and your career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada.Enjoy competitive compensation, employee recognition, and a brilliant range of flexible benefits you can tailor to your health, wellbeing, financial and lifestyle needs.Make the most of diverse opportunities for training and professional development to grow your skills and expertise.And take advantage of our hybrid working culture and generous time-off policies to balance a fulfilling career with your personal life.Be rewarded.
