Feeder Piping Analyst

The work is in support of Life Extension Projects for the on-going and anticipated retube of CANDU6 reactors and requires technical expertise in the analysis of feeder piping, feeder supports, and feeder in-line components. This role is based out of the Candu Energy Inc. home office in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This is a permanent full-time position.Your roleDemonstrate understanding technical documents such as engineering drawings and bill of materials, calculations, design specifications, design/analysis reports, design requirements, design manuals, technical specifications (for procurement, fabrication, and site installation), data sheets, system classification lists, code classifications, commissioning specifications, etc.Prepare technical documents such as design/analysis reports, design requirements, design descriptions, design decision documents, design specifications, fabrication technical specifications, installation/removal specifications, etc.Perform thermal, fatigue, seismic, linear, and non-linear analyses in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Div.1 code requirements.Support the project team by helping them with the design and analysis of complex piping and support arrangements using finite element analysis software (i.e. ANSYS Mechanical and/or LS-DYNA).Communicate with the clients and suppliers to provide technical assistance and resolution of any technical queries that may arise.Prepare requisitions or Engineering Quotation Requests (EQR) for equipment and materials to support procurement.Provide technical guidance and instruction to Designers/Drafters and more junior staff as required.
