Senior Feeder/ Piping Engineer(s) Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Employment type: Full-time Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Responsibilities Prepare detailed design of Piping supports, pipe sizing, and piping and equipment layout with review in (S3D, Smart Plant Review). Prepare engineering computations and analyses using applicable software (e.g., PipeStress, CaesarII, AutoPipe, MATLAB, MathCAD, ANSYS Mechanical (APDL preferred or Workbench), and LS DYNA). Perform pipe stress evaluation of piping systems (nuclear class or non-nuclear class) in accordance with ASME Section III, Div.1, and/or ASME B31.1 code requirements. Perform thermal, fatigue, seismic, linear, and non-linear analyses in accordance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Div.1 code requirements. Prepare technical documents: engineering drawings, change paper markups, calculations, design/analysis reports, design manuals, bill of materials, specifications, data sheets, system classification lists, code classifications, commissioning specifications, etc. Provide technical guidance and instruction to Designers/Drafters and more junior staff as required. May be requested by Engineering Manager to lead technical packages with a small or large team of Designers and Stress Analysts. Complete assigned scopes or tasks within given budget, schedule, and quality. Qualifications Engineering Degree in Mechanical from an accredited university or equivalent recognized by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). P.Eng license mandatory. Minimum 10 Years of mechanical engineering experience in heavy industrial environments (nuclear, mining, oil & gas, power, etc.). Knowledge of principles for laying piping systems, including stress analysis and supports. Working knowledge of CSA N285.0, CSA B51, CSA N289, ASME Section III and ANSI B31.1 codes and related standards. Design engineering experience in nuclear class 1, 2, 3, 6 piping systems, valves, pumps for Nuclear Power Plants preferred. Experience in stress analysis using PipeStress, CaesarII, AutoPipe, MATLAB, MathCAD, ANSYS Mechanical (APDL preferred or Workbench), LS DYNA or similar. Willingness to become a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW) when required.
