Quality Engineer

Are you passionate about quality and problem-solving? We are looking for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for coordinating the handling of customer complaints and monitoring supplier complaints, in collaboration with various departments across the company. Job Description In this role, you will be expected to: Receive and handle customer complaints by initiating the necessary corrective actions internally; Assist customers with their information requests and during visits to the company; Oversee, when necessary, inspection work carried out by certain subcontractors; Participate in and successfully complete continuous improvement projects related to quality and manufacturing processes (e.g., scrap reduction, internal problem-solving); Contribute to improving the performance of quality indicators (KPIs); Manage and communicate supplier issues with internal teams (purchasing, production, engineering, etc.); Conduct internal audits; Promote and develop a quality culture at all levels of the organization; Work with a results-oriented approach while meeting tight deadlines. Desired Profile University degree in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or any other field related to quality (or equivalent); Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; Experience in supervision and priority management; Excellent knowledge of problem-solving and continuous improvement techniques (8D, 5 Why, etc.); Motivating leadership, autonomous decision-making, analytical and synthesis skills; Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset; Bilingual (French/English) essential – frequent interactions with clients and presentations in English at the corporate level; Knowledge of the IATF 16949 standard and reference manuals (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) – an asset.
