We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our dynamic retail team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales strategies.
  • Supervise and train staff to ensure high levels of customer service and effective sales techniques.
  • Handle cash management responsibilities, including cash handling and reconciliation.
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new team members.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on budgeting and financial planning to meet store targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment that aligns with company standards.
  • Implement marketing strategies to promote sales and enhance customer engagement.
  • Utilize POS systems for transactions and manage pricing accuracy across products.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others positively.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse customers.
  • Proficient in administrative tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, and budgeting.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with phone etiquette.
  • Experience in training & development of team members to enhance performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.70-$28.41 per hour
