Position Summary:

The Dubh Linn Gate Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the success of the operations of the business. The position will prepare, analyze and report on financial information to provide the business with timely, accurate and relevant data. This position will contribute to the organization's financial management procedures to ensure that they are effective, efficient and compliant with the appropriate financial statutory and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Produce, audit, analyze and distribute daily financial results
  • Oversee Dubh Linn Gate cash audit role
  • Full cycle accounting including preparation of monthly financial statements including Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet statements
  • Review financial statements and provide variance analysis on a monthly basis as well as ongoing forecasting
  • Daily bank account and credit card review
  • Prepare petty cash and complete bank deposits as required
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable entries
  • Monthly account and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly PST and GST returns
  • Vendor communication and contract management
  • Provide analytical and procedural support to the Dubh Linn Gate Management team as required
  • Year end filing and tasks
  • Management of the annual budget process including creation, analysis and presentation
  • Assist with annual wage review analysis
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an accounting role within the F&B industry
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations and culture, including front-of-house and back-of-house, and supply chain management
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Intermediate/ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Advanced knowledge of English is required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $56,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
