TheCorp Network Operations team at OpenText designs, deploys, and maintains secure, scalable, and highly available network infrastructures across on-premises data centers and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). The team manages advanced technologies including SD-WAN, wireless, load balancing, and network security in critical environments to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. They monitor network health, troubleshoot hybrid environments, enforce best practices, and leverage emerging networking and automation technologies to support OpenText's global enterprise operations.
Your Impact:
OpenText is seeking a Lead Network/Network Security Specialist to join its global infrastructure team. This hybrid role combines deep expertise in both enterprise networking and network security, supporting and securing the backbone of OpenText's global operations.
The candidate will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and support of a wide range of technologies that span both traditional networking and advanced security systems. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about building and protecting enterprise-scale networks.
As a Lead Network& Security Specialist, you will:
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the OSI model and related security protocols across all layers.
- Configure and monitor core network services using SNMP, Syslog, TACACS+/RADIUS, DHCP, NTP, QoS, and NetFlow/sFlow/IPFIX.
- Deploy and secure Cisco and Arista hardware, with expertise in ACLs, DAI, 802.1X, Cisco ISE, MLAG, EVPN/VXLAN, and CloudVision.
- Design and troubleshoot enterprise routing using OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP for both static and dynamic environments.
- Implement SD-WAN solutions (e.g., Prisma SD-WAN, Prisma Access) with transport redundancy and application-aware routing.
- Manage cloud network infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including VPCs, transit gateways, and hybrid connectivity.
- Administer enterprise wireless networks with identity-based access and NAC platform integration.
- Configure and manage firewall and VPN technologies including Cisco ASA/AnyConnect, Check Point, Palo Alto (Panorama), and Fortinet (FortiManager), with expertise in NAT, high availability, and east-west security.
What you need to Succeed:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior-level role that combines network engineering and network security.
- Proven experience in medium to large enterprise environments, ideally with a global footprint.
- Broad exposure to multiple security and networking disciplines, with the ability to work across domains.
- Experience working in global, cross-functional teams and collaborating across time zones.
- Strong skills in technical documentation, including the ability to create detailed network diagrams and architecture overviews.
- A self-starter with a high degree of professionalism, accountability, and work ethic.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and change management best practices.
