Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance to a single patient with advanced Alzheimer's. Duties will include meals, light cleaning in the patients room, food prep, and grooming.

Duties

  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and mobility support for clients with physical limitations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those dealing with dementia or chronic illnesses.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in caregiving or patient care is preferred; experience in hospice care is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety practices.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to accommodate client schedules.
