Location: Saskatoon, SK.

Schedule: Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

About Us:

Saskatoon Pallet is a leading provider of new pallets, crates, core boxes and industrial wood products. We take pride in our commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. We're looking for a General Manager to lead daily operations, sales, drive efficiency, and ensure our team produces top-quality pallets on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the pallet shop, including production, repair, and recycling.
  • Supervise and schedule shop employees; manage staffing levels to meet production goals.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure product quality and compliance with company and customer specifications.
  • Track production metrics, materials usage, and inventory.
  • Handle logistics and sales
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Train and mentor employees on equipment use, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, report maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in pallet manufacturing, wood products, or a similar production environment is preferred, but not required.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pallet construction, repair processes, and equipment (saws, nailers, stackers, etc.) is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work orders.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, production software, etc.).
  • Forklift certification a plus.
