Con-Tech General Contractors is a leader in commercial, civil, and infrastructure construction across Western Canada. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a driven Civil Project Manager/Estimator to join our organization and support upcoming projects.

The Civil Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for managing civil construction projects from initial estimate to project completion. This role combines hands-on project leadership with accurate estimating, cost control, scheduling, and client communication. The ideal candidate has strong civil construction experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Estimating

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for all civil scopes on commercial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs, labor/equipment costing, and complete civil pricing.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
  • Assist in preparing bid proposals and tender submissions.

Project Management

  • Plan, organize, and manage projects from start to finish.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and site teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and environmental regulations.
  • Work alongside field staff to ensure team-based project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits, progress meetings, and provide regular reporting.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in civil construction project management and/or estimating.
  • Background in earthworks and utilities is required. Additional background in concrete, foundations, or commercial site development is preferred.
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
