About the Project

This role supports a large financial institution's
ITS Employee Enablement
group as part of an
enterprise cybersecurity (Enterprise Protect) initiative
. The team is responsible for supporting users and safeguarding systems through responsive technical assistance and secure access enablement.

The environment is
collaborative and team-oriented
, with approximately nine existing team members and two new hires joining the group. This is a long-term engagement with strong learning and growth potential.

Position Overview

The IT Analyst will provide
technical support to end users
while contributing to enterprise-level cybersecurity operations. This role involves hands-on technical work, user support in live collaboration environments, and assisting with system and access-related issues.

The ideal candidate has a solid technical foundation, experience supporting users one-on-one, and the ability to clearly communicate technical issues to
non-technical audiences
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide
    technical support to users
    , often via conference bridges or virtual collaboration tools.
  • Perform technical work on
    servers and desktop environments
    .
  • Remotely access and troubleshoot user desktops.
  • Communicate issues, resolutions, and next steps clearly to end users.
  • Coordinate and monitor technical system inquiries.
  • Support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives related to access, authentication, and system protection.
  • Follow established processes and contribute to continuous service improvement.
  • Liaise with internal teams and service providers as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills

  • 2-4 years of relevant
    IT support or technical experience
  • Experience providing
    one-on-one technical support
    to users
  • Strong foundational knowledge of
    servers, desktops, and basic IT infrastructure
  • Excellent
    verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Networking fundamentals
  • Understanding of
    multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise users in a remote environment

Additional Qualifications

  • Technical background or post-secondary technical education preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and possible weekends
  • Strong collaboration skills and customer-focused mindset
