Interested in working for a rapidly growing residential community operator? Join a team where operational excellence meets resident experience. Lead a community, manage people and assets, and play a direct role in delivering high-quality, attainable housing across the country.
Your New Employer
Compass Communities is one of Canada's largest land-lease housing operators, managing more than 70 residential communities across eight provinces with over 12,000 home sites nationwide. The company focuses on delivering attainable home ownership through professionally managed, resident-focused communities that emphasize operational excellence and quality of life.
With a growing national portfolio and continued investment in its communities, Compass is expanding its operational leadership team to support performance, resident satisfaction, and portfolio growth.
Your New Role
We are seeking a driven and hands-on Property Manager to lead operations, resident relations, and financial performance for a residential land-lease community. You will serve as the senior on-site leader, responsible for creating a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment while ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and financial accountability. This role blends people leadership, asset management, and customer experience, requiring someone who can operate with both empathy and commercial focus.
You will oversee all day-to-day operations, including property maintenance, infrastructure, vendor coordination, and enforcement of community standards. This includes conducting regular site inspections, identifying maintenance and safety issues, and ensuring common areas remain clean, functional, and compliant. As the primary point of contact for residents, you will manage inquiries, complaints, leases, rent collection, notices, and hearings, while supporting marketing and leasing efforts and conducting tours for prospective residents.
You will also lead on-site administrative and maintenance teams, overseeing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure service levels and labour costs align with operating plans. Financially, you will be accountable for operating and capital budgets, payroll, procurement, collections, and financial reporting, contributing to budgeting and forecasting while driving efficiency and profitability. You will ensure the community operates safely and in accordance with health, safety, and fire regulations, working closely with Compass's regional and corporate teams to implement business plans and long-term operational strategies.
What Sets You Apart
You are a confident, organized, and solutions-driven leader with experience in property management, hospitality, or customer-focused operations. You are comfortable managing people, budgets, and resident relationships in a fast-paced environment and understand how strong operations drive both customer satisfaction and asset performance.
You bring strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the professionalism required to represent a national real estate organization at the community level.
What You Can Expect
You will play a central role in the success of a Compass residential community, with responsibility for resident experience, team leadership, and financial performance. You will work closely with regional and corporate leadership while having the autonomy to manage and improve day-to-day operations on the ground.
