Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated Plastic Injection Set-Up Technician to join our production team. This role is ideal for someone with basic knowledge of injection molding or manufacturing who wants to gain more experience and grow into a highly skilled technician position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up and preparing injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment for production runs.
  • Learn to install and remove molds under supervision.
  • Support machine start-ups, shut-downs, and changeovers.
  • Perform basic adjustments to machine parameters to help meet part specifications.
  • Conduct first-off inspections and simple quality checks with guidance.
  • Maintain accurate setup records.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in plastic injection molding, manufacturing, or mechanical set-up (1 year preferred).
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and hand tools.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior technicians.
  • Ability to work safely with machinery and overhead cranes handling molds or tools up to 100,000lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational habits.
  • Positive attitude and reliability—teamwork is key

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Additional technical training or certification in plastics/manufacturing (asset but not required).

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 8 hours, shift TBD, potential overtime daily and on weekends as required.
