Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver FOR LOCAL MOVES. MUST HAVE MOVING EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight and cargo to designated locations.
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation.
  • Assist in securing freight properly to prevent damage during transit.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle functionality.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience in commercial driving and freight transportation preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklift and other heavy equipment safely.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair or basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and transportation.
  • Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy objects, and perform vehicle inspections.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules.
  • Prior experience operating heavy equipment or performing automotive repairs is advantageous but not mandatory. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery within the transportation industry.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
