Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy software applications using languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and C++.
  • Design and implement system architecture solutions that incorporate microservices, RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and cloud-based platforms like AWS and Azure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solution architecture aligned with business needs and technical standards.
  • Manage ETL processes for data integration across systems utilizing SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.
  • Optimize IT infrastructure components including load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, DNS management, DHCP configuration, and system hardening for enhanced security.
  • Implement system design best practices while ensuring high availability through load balancing and virtualization technologies such as VMware and ESXi.
  • Support DevOps initiatives by integrating CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Git, Docker containers orchestrated via Kubernetes or WDS environments.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage information security protocols including threat intelligence and vulnerability management strategies.
  • Maintain system administration tasks across Windows and Linux environments while ensuring compliance with security standards like cloud security policies.
  • Participate in Agile development cycles by contributing to SDLC processes—covering planning, coding, testing, deployment—and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and solution architecture principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages including JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, Ruby on Rails, C++, Bash scripting, VBA, and Shell scripting.
  • Extensive experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server environments and Linux distributions; experience with system hardening techniques.
  • Expertise in network protocols such as DNS, DHCP; familiarity with computer networking concepts including VPNs and firewalls.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware ESXi; cloud platforms including AWS and Azure; container orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of web services standards including RESTful APIs and SOAP; experience with React Express frameworks is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines; version control systems like Git for source code management.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices including threat intelligence analysis and vulnerability assessment methodologies.
  • Ability to perform system design tasks focusing on scalability, load balancing strategies, system architecture planning—ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Strong debugging skills coupled with systems engineering expertise to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
