Job Description

What Will You Do?

Design, implement, and manage key management services across Mainframe, Distributed computing, and Cloud environments.

Develop and maintain key management policies, procedures, and standards.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for key management.

Operational Support:

Provide 24/7 operational support for Key Services and HSM applications.

Troubleshoot and resolve key management-related issues.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and improve overall service quality.

HSM Management:

 Manage and maintain HSM applications, including configuration, patching, and upgrades.

 Ensure HSMs are properly integrated with key management systems and other security tools.

Security and Compliance:

Ensure key management practices adhere to security and compliance standards, including PCI-DSS, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.

Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure key management processes meet regulatory and internal requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with various stakeholders, including IT teams, security teams, and business units to ensure alignment and effective communication.

 Develop and maintain documentation, including technical guides, procedures, and training materials.

Innovation and Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in key management and cryptography.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Must Have 

Role Specific Skills - Strong understanding of key management concepts, including key generation, distribution, rotation, and destruction. Experience with HSMs, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Mainframe, Distributed computing, and Cloud environments.

Strong Organization –  Candidate needs to be well organized to enable timely access and sharing of information.  Stay on top of deadlines and tasks, Collaborate effectively and make informed decisions with accurate data.

Strategic thinking - The ability to understand RBC's Cryptographic Strategy and make recommendations that align with its goals and objectives.

Risk management – Knowledge of risk management processes and a basic ability to identify, assess, and plan remediation of risks associated with cryptographic services governance operations.

Compliance - An understanding of relevant industry guidance related to cryptographic mechanisms and standards.

Communication and stakeholder engagement -  Candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, executives, employees, and external parties.

Analytical and problem-solving skills – Adept in their ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision-making and solve complex problems.

Leadership and collaboration – Candidate will be required to work with others, build trust, and influence stakeholders to achieve cryptographic governance program objectives.

Policy development and implementation – Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures that support RBC's cryptographic governance practices.

Monitoring and reporting -  The ability to track and report on cryptographic governance performance, including metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Adaptability and continuous learning -  The ability to stay up-to-date with changing governance requirements, industry trends, and best practices.
