Position Overview
The organization is seeking experienced
Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineers
to support enterprise modernization, infrastructure automation, and middleware transformation initiatives. The successful candidates will lead and support DevOps and cloud operations with a focus on
Azure Cloud
,
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
,
automation
, and
performance optimization
.
This role involves managing complex hybrid environments, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of critical enterprise systems through best practices in automation, monitoring, and cloud governance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Delivery & Configuration (30%)
- Configure, customize, and upgrade middleware platforms including
WebLogic 12c
,
WebSphere 9
, and
Informatica 10
. - Administer and support
Oracle Siebel, UCM, OID, BIP, OCH, OEDQ
, and related CRM systems. - Design, develop, and implement
DevOps automation
using tools such as
Docker, Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Azure DevOps Pipelines
, and
OpenShift
. - Create and maintain
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
and
immutable infrastructure
solutions using
Terraform
,
Ansible
, and
Packer
. - Manage
git
repositories following advanced branching and merging strategies (e.g., git-flow) and GitOps methodologies. - Conduct performance tuning, capacity management, and system optimization.
- Implement
database migration, backup, and disaster recovery (DR)
strategies. - Configure and manage
load balancers
,
clustering
, and
firewalls
in Azure Cloud. - Develop and support
Java, J2EE,
, and
Azure Functions
-based solutions, including
Serverless and event-driven architectures
. - Lead and execute
mid-tier refresh initiatives
leveraging DevOps automation in Azure environments.
2. Support & Troubleshooting (25%)
- Provide
24/7 production and pre-production support
for enterprise systems. - Monitor and troubleshoot middleware and cloud environments in accordance with
ITIL standards
. - Perform root-cause analysis and data integrity checks to resolve critical issues.
- Maintain system stability, performance, and uptime through proactive monitoring.
- Resolve issues in multi-platform environments (Linux, UNIX, Mainframe).
3. Operations Management (25%)
- Support large-scale business and infrastructure projects.
- Participate in
Incident, Change, and Problem Management
processes. - Conduct performance analysis and track resource utilization.
- Perform log searches for audits, troubleshooting, and system validation.
- Manage emergency problem resolution to restore services efficiently.
- Prepare ad-hoc technical and performance reports for management.
4. Interpersonal & Communication (15%)
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary technical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge transfer to technical staff.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, reports, and technical presentations.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Provide after-hours or weekend support when required.
5. Domain and Public Sector Knowledge (5%)
- Understanding of
enterprise IT architecture
and safety-critical systems. - Experience working in large, complex, or regulated environments is an asset.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years
of experience in systems, data communications, and telecommunication technologies, including: - RedHat Enterprise Linux (v7+)
- UNIX Solaris (v10)
- Mainframe IMS Connect
and related system tools - Extensive experience
with
Oracle Siebel, UCM, OID, BIP, OCH, OEDQ
, and enterprise CRM technologies. - Strong expertise
in
WebLogic 12c, WebSphere 9, and Informatica 10
configuration, customization, and patching. - Minimum 5 years
of hands-on experience with
Azure Cloud DevOps tools
