Are you an experienced construction superintendent with civil infrastructure project experience? We are looking for you Reporting directly to the GeneralSuperintendent, Site Superintendents are accountable for the day -to -day siteoperations of their construction projects. The Site Superintendent isresponsible for the management of self -performing and sub -contracted forces,effective use of heavy civil equipment and achieving project milestones whilekeeping projects on schedule. On the jobsite, they will be responsible forensuring that projects are being built as per client requirements, constructionspecifications and adhering to all safety regulations.  The main objective of the Site Superintendentwill be to deliver the specified work safely, on time, within the budget and tothe desired level of quality and workmanship.Essential Duties &Responsibilities:Supervise and direct construction projects as per contract documents, and maintaining company and industry best practices;Ensure safety standards and protocols are being followed by all site workers and visitorsMaintain a daily journal outlining progress, challenges, changes and solutions that could affect the outcome of the project deliveryResponsible for all project safety and quality -control on site;Managing all site personnel, equipment usage and rentals as well as materials to ensure that resources are being maximizedAnalyze specifications and construction drawings and complete/participate in completing construction plan and construction schedule prior to mobilization to project site;Research solutions with Project Managers and Project Coordinators to recommend solutions to design problems, including conflicts, unidentified existing interferences and errors/omissions;Attend and from time to time lead project status meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that project timelines are being kept within reach.Approve daily and weekly hours of direct reportsComplete additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by General Superintendent;The main objective of the Project Superintendent will be to deliver the specified work within time, within budget and to the desired level of quality and workmanship. RequirementsEngineering Degree (Civil Engineering preferred), or Construction Management Degree and civil experience10+ years of civil construction experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory roleValid Driver's LicenseWell -developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.Knowledge and use of MS Office, Scheduling SoftwaresStrong critical thinking skills and attention to detail.Effective time management and organizational skills.Proven ability to priority and manage multiple tasks effectivelyProven ability to work independently and within a team environment.Negotiation and conflict management.Excellent client -facing and internal communication skills.Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines and work under strict time constraintsDriven leader who can support and get the best out of others
