Shipping Receiving

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liquid Shipping/Receiving Operator is responsible for the accurate and timely loading and unloading of bulk liquid raw materials, and finished goods.
- Inbound/Outbound Truck inspections
- Attaching hoses and pumping out or receiving in appropriate quantities.
- Monitoring equipment during process - sweco, filters, magnets, pumps.
- Adhering to inbound/outbound schedule
- Timely communication of any deviations
- Maintain inventory accuracy through good inventory control, ensure accurate entry of shipping and receiving into WMS inventory system.
- Verbal and electronic communication with internal and external parties (ex. Delivery drivers, Production employees, QA, Management, etc.)
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time; daily exposure to noise, dust, and variation in temperature (hot/cold), working at heights.
- Follow all GMP's, safety and HACCP procedures.
- This position requires operating liquid loading equipment (pumps/valves/etc.), climbing stairs, carrying hoses and other equipment, and using power lift equipment.
- Operate within the Blommer core values of respect and care for others

Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Able to set up, adjust and operate machinery
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach
- Able to observe and detect issues
- Able to ascend/descend stairs
- Occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
- Constantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)
Safety, Quality and Hygiene Requirements:
- Operate with a focus on safety and quality, while maintaining a sanitary work environment
- Comply with Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA), & Lockout/Tagout requirements
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards
- Adhere to HACCP guidelines
- Adhere to Allergen Management best practice for food manufacturers
- Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conduct
Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience
- Fork Lift experience is an asset
- Working at heights is an asset
- Able to follow clear instructions
- Able to read and write English to perform tasks successfully
- Basic technology skills to record data into computer or electronic tablet
- Continuous attention to details in performing all tasks
- Comfortable working as an individual contributor as well as with a team, as required
- Expected to identify, communicate/escalate and problem-solve as issues arise
Pay range for this position is $18.55 per hour to $20.74 per hour.
This is a 12-hour day rotation position
