Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. Working as a part of the shop team, the Tire Technician is responsible for executing any/all tire related services as outlined below.

Key Responsibilities

Tire Services

  • Install, repair, and replace tires on a variety of vehicles with precision and care
  • Perform installation and proper balancing of newly installed tires ensuring that all check-points have been covered such as proper inflation, rotation, etc.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to complete tire-related tasks efficiently
  • Accurately record services performed for each vehicle
  • Assist with tire storage/retrieval as needed

Shop Related

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to ensure safety standards are met
  • Ensure that all equipment and general parts required for tire services are well maintained and that shop supplies are replenished appropriately and in a timely manner.

Customer Service

  • Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and free from any damages while in our possession.

General

  • Full time position, no seasonal layoffs.
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some seasonal Saturday shifts of 9am-1pm
  • Possibility for advancement to a 310s (Automotive Technician) Apprenticeship for the right candidate

Requirements

  • Some prior experience/knowledge in the automotive trade is preferred
  • Mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and tire technology is an asset
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment is an asset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
  • Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and safety protocols is an asset
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory depending on job location or specific duties
  • Willingness to learn
