Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Cook to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety, and manage staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This role requires strong leadership skills combined with a passion for food service and industry best practices. The Head Cook will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of food preparation, presentation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
  • Oversee meal planning, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen area
  • Develop and implement new menu items in collaboration with culinary team
  • Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards
  • Monitor kitchen operations to optimize workflow and reduce waste
  • Foster a positive team environment focused on continuous improvement and high performance

Skills

  • Proven experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Skilled in meal preparation with attention to detail and presentation
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with staff and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable
  • Passion for the food industry with a focus on quality and safety standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
