Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Drywall Installer and Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the installation of drywall and insulation materials for both residential and commercial properties. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving abilities who can work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drywall Installation: Measure, cut, and install drywall panels on interior walls and ceilings using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical fasteners.
  • Insulation Installation: Install insulation materials (fiberglass, foam board, spray foam, etc.) in walls, ceilings, and attics to improve energy efficiency and soundproofing.
  • Surface Preparation: Ensure proper preparation of wall surfaces before installation, including the application of vapor barriers or adhesives as required.
  • Repair Work: Assess and repair damaged drywall or insulation by cutting out sections, replacing materials, and finishing joints.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other contractors, supervisors, and team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and transport drywall sheets, insulation rolls, and other materials to and from work sites.
  • Tools and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and properly use tools and equipment, reporting any defects or need for repairs to management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or maintenance person services.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively
  • A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites
