ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitter B to join our ATCO Facility Solutions team in Edmonton, AB.

The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for maintenance, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems throughout our maintenance contracts and construction projects.

The successful candidate must be willing to work on call after hours and on weekends as required on a rotating on-call schedule. Tools, uniforms, PPE are provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing system, including pipes, valves, fittings and fixtures like toilets and sinks
  • Installation of Boilers, hot-water tanks and furnaces
  • Diagnose and troubleshooting plumbing issues with precision and perform routine inspections
  • Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed schedule
  • Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects
  • Provide preventative and corrective maintenance for plumbing and heating equipment and systems
  • Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
  • Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.

Qualifications:

  • Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal with a minimum of 3 years' experience are required
  • Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
  • Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test, Fit to Work test, and an extensive background check
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to read drawings and blueprints
  • Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
  • Willing to travel
