Location: Sir Wilfrid Laurier, 70 Albright Road, Hamilton, ON L8K 5J3
Total Weekly Hours: 15
Schedule: Monday to Friday: 3:00pm-6:00pm
Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement, includes wage grants): $20.93 per hour

Experience
- Practical experience supporting children with a variety of needs, including physical, behavioral, and mental health challenges; this may include children on the autism spectrum and those with medical needs.
- Minimum Secondary School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Personal Support Worker program or similar course is an asset
- Standard First Aid with CPR level C
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Proof of up-to-date immunizations (TB, Tetanus, MMR)
- Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen? is an asset
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and professionally with children, families, and staff
- Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with equipment and devices
- A dedicated advocate for diversity, equality, and inclusion
- Capable of working independently and as part of a dynamic team
- Play a key role in supporting children, families, and staff where additional resources are needed.
- Work closely with program staff to implement classroom and child management techniques
- Assist with documentation and updates on Individual Support Plans (ISPs)
- Collaborate in alignment with How Does Learning Happen? to ensure a holistic and supportive environment for each child
