We are seeking top-tier talent to join our Buildings division and deliver innovative projects in the healthcare, education, hospitality, recreational, entertainment, retail, commercial office, mixed-use, multi-family residential and light industrial sectors. As a Mechanical & Electrical Specialist at Graham, you will assist the management team with the following:
- Planning the M&E components of a healthcare project and provide input into the schedule
- Provide design and constructability input and reviews pertaining to mechanical, electrical and IMIT systems
- Supervise, coordinate and troubleshoot M&E activities onsite
- Manage mechanical & electrical contracts and sub trades
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure schedule is maintained
- Facilitate resolving emerging issues through effective collaboration between Engineers, Consultants and Subcontractors
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical trades with other scopes of work
- Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure project implementation is compliant to the output specifications and executed in a timely and efficient manner
- Review M&E subcontractor's submittals, ITPs, execution plans, QA/QC programs and provide input into the programs
- Conduct regular inspections of M&E scopes of work in conjunction with project stakeholders
- Lead regular project meetings to monitor and support the progression of building services and report findings to the Project Team
- Mentor other Project Team members to obtain knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical and IMIT systems
- Provide assistance to the Project Team with regards to mechanical and electrical contracts, budgets, billing and invoicing
- Provide project direction and coordination for all commissioning and close out of M&E systems
- Work diligently to lead the commissioning process in conjunction with the Commissioning Agent, M&E Subcontractors, Engineers and shadow consultants
- Ensure as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranties are submitted to the client before project closeout
Qualifications/Experience:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in M&E scopes
- Having an Engineering Degree or Trade Certification
- Design-Build experience on complex healthcare projects would be a major asset
- Detailed knowledge and demonstrated experience of MEIT building systems through design, construction and commissioning phases
- Experience in construction & commissioning in the General Contractor's role on complex projects
- Experience in construction & commissioning with Mechanical & Electrical Companies
