Building Management System Operator
Our client is a well-established real estate organization with a diverse portfolio that spans Class A office towers and modern industrial assets in Saskatoon.
Your New Employer
With a focus on operational excellence, tenant experience, and strong team culture, they are proudly shaping high-quality environments where businesses can thrive. Their commitment to integrity, service, and community is reflected in every asset they manage, and this role offers the chance to be part of a collaborative, technically strong operations team that genuinely values its people.
Your New Role
As the Building Operator, you will play a vital role in the daily operations and mechanical performance of two of Saskatoon's most recognizable commercial towers, along with a five-building industrial park. Your days will be dynamic and hands-on, balancing preventive maintenance, tenant service, building system monitoring, and coordination with trusted contractors.
You'll conduct daily inspections, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, support life-safety systems, and manage work orders using Angus Anywhere. You'll also work closely with Building Automation Systems—primarily JCI Metasys and Automated Logic—ensuring optimal building comfort and performance across the portfolio.
At the industrial park, you'll perform routine checks of mechanical rooms, fire equipment, vacancies, and RTUs, and support tenants with service requests as needed.
Collaboration is central to this role. An engaged operations supervisor, a dedicated property management team, and a strong group of vendors and contractors will support you. With flexibility, stability, and the opportunity to work across multiple asset types, this is an ideal environment for someone who enjoys variety, technical challenges, and meaningful responsibility.
What Sets You Apart
You bring 3–5 years of experience in building operations in commercial, industrial, or mixed-use environments, and possess a solid foundation in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
You're comfortable working with Building Automation Systems and can confidently navigate platforms such as Metasys, Automated Logic, Honeywell, or similar systems.
A 5th Class Power Engineering certificate is required for this position, while a 4th Class is considered a strong advantage. Experience with Angus Anywhere or another CMMS platform will also serve you well.
Just as important as your technical skill is your approach. You take pride in delivering excellent tenant service, communicating with clarity, and solving problems with a calm, professional mindset. You're reliable, organized, and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team. Your willingness to support others, adapt to daily priorities, and maintain a positive presence in the buildings will make you a standout fit for this role.
What You Can Expect
You'll join a team that genuinely cares about its people and fosters a supportive, collaborative culture. This role offers a stable Monday to Friday daytime schedule, along with mileage reimbursement and parking at all sites. You'll enjoy access to on-site fitness facilities and gain exposure to both Class A commercial towers and industrial buildings. With a strong and well-structured operations department, there are clear opportunities for growth and long-term development.
You'll be stepping into a portfolio with modern systems, high-quality tenants, and leadership that values communication, balance, and continuous improvement.
Next Steps
If you're looking for a role where your technical strengths are valued, your ideas matter, and your work directly contributes to the success of exceptional commercial and industrial assets, I'd love to connect.
