Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and efficient seating arrangements. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience by managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining the flow of service in the restaurant.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating process efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized reservation system to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, enhancing guest relations.
  • Assist in managing waitlists during peak hours, providing updates to guests as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
  • Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS) for managing reservations and orders as necessary.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service throughout the dining experience.

Experience

  • Previous host/host or food service experience is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen sense of phone etiquette.
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving techniques and guest services.

Being able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays is a requirement.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.70 per hour
