Whether it's driving a vision from start to finish or collaborating with teams to inspire and deliver projects of Epic quality, Epic's production teams take pride in consistently delivering world-class products and experiences.
What You'll DoAs a Senior Producer, focused on our Platform space, you will partner with cross-disciplinary team members to develop features for the Fortnite Frontend. You will handle and organize large-scale program management and drive technical transformation. You excel in organization, have exceptional communication abilities, are driven and curious, and are comfortable managing complex projects. The ideal candidates are passionate about game technology and have a history of working within technical, distributed environments.
In this role, you will- Partner with discipline leads to determine the time and people necessary to complete projects, while also improving and developing processes based on the needs of the teams, initiatives, and products
- Build and maintain project plans, schedules, resource allocations, and roadmaps, considering dependencies across multiple development teams to ensure successful releases
- Collaborate and align with our UEFN team and game teams regarding their product and technical needs, driving stakeholder management and touchpoints with these partners
- Provide transparent communications on project status and risks to stakeholders to ensure they are adequately informed of any impacts from upcoming releases
- Partner with multiple leaders to understand and balance priorities, requirements, and critical timelines, and lead scope conversations and scenario planning
- Collaborate with producers and other disciplines on the development teams needed to complete initiatives, communicate frequently, and proactively to highlight progress, risks, and mitigations
- Manage both internal and external resources as they pertain to resource allocation, budget forecasts, and actuals
- Experience with AAA games or game platforms from concept to release
- Previous experience working in a production role where you've managed cross-functional teams in creating and delivering complex projects
- Ability to lead roadmap planning activities, including feedback collection, requirements gathering, initiative build-out, feature breakdown, estimations, and resourcing to drive a solid roadmap that achieves defined strategic product goals.
- Deep understanding of game or platform development, software development process, and project management practices
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- A good knowledge of light-touch production systems that allow teams to thrive without unnecessary overhead
- Have the ability to communicate with varying levels of stakeholders within your team and throughout the company
