Maintenance Electrician

As an Electrician, you will be part of a team responsible for keeping an industrial manufacturing facility and its equipment in good working order. The Electrician will ensure that all electrical equipment and systems used in the manufacturing of equipment dedicated to the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry are operating properly and well-maintained. Responsibilities will include inspecting equipment for proper functionality, preventative maintenance duties and diagnosing equipment malfunctions for repairs and adjustments as needed. The Electrician must be licensed in Ontario. Location: 1556 Industrial Road, Cambridge, ONDedicated Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday – FridayJob DutiesGeneral electrical maintenance for the facility, including lighting, electrical repairs, and installations/relocations of electrical componentsRead, understand, and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematicsTroubleshoot circuitry issues and replace damaged components on industrial equipment and systemsEnhance equipment performance by recommending and implementing improvementsComplete accurate technical reports, failure reports, parts listings, and drawing revisionsOperate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinerySkills and ExperienceAdapt to a changing work environment, competing demands, and be able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected eventsRequired to inspect, identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issuesMaintenance tasks require collaboration with coworkers; effective communication and reasoning skills are essential when working on projects that involve multiple team membersPhysical requirements include the use of strength, such as pulling, pushing, lifting and/or moving objects during work, as well as standing, climbing, kneeling, and bendingPotential exposure to weather changes (hot, cold, wind, rain, etc.) when working outsideQualificationsLicensed Electrician in the province of Ontario.Previous electrical experience in an industrial setting.Mathematical aptitude.What We Can Offer You Family-Oriented Company: Lots of social events, BBQ's, pizza parties and more Competitive Wages and Profit Sharing: In addition to competitive wages, we celebrate our financial success together through profit sharing.
