Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced mechanics to apply their expertise and contribute to providing exceptional customer service. Prior dealership experience is highly valued, along with proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and reading schematics. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting and possess solid mechanical knowledge to perform repairs accurately and safely.

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues, including engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and schematics to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components
  • Conduct welding and assembly tasks as needed for custom repairs or modifications
  • Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures, including heavy lifting and the use of maintenance equipment
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
  • Assist with vehicle inspections and ensure all work meets quality standards
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and timelines to ensure excellent customer service

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic; dealership experience is preferred
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and reading schematics
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
  • Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and assembly processes
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
  • Valid driver's license is required for test-driving vehicles when necessary
