The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the project managers throughout the complete project cycle. With a heavy focus on utilizing Procore, the role of a PC will be to ensure all documentation is managed effectively, as well as being a support to Superintendents.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately maintain files, logs, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure project documents are current and available for subtrades.
- Ensure project is following specifications set out by owner or architect.
- Review and distribute drawings.
- Consult with trades/consultants.
- Convey information, updates, and ideas clearly and professionally.
- Consistently complete and distribute weekly project status reports.
- Facilitates stakeholder meetings
- Coordinate subtrades efficiently.
- Clearly communicate expectations.
- Follow-up and monitor to ensure smooth transitions and task completion.
- Review and process PO's and subcontracts as per Keller procedure
- Change events and Prime Contract Change Order Development
- Coordinate RFI process with affected trades and maintain logs.
- Prepare purchase requisitions.
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment
- Evaluate and manage warranty claims/items
- Set up deficiency list in PM software, track and maintain list
- Coordinate completion of deficiency list items
- Follow up to ensure completion
- Prepare warranty package and requirements (i.e. O&M)
- Build the operations and maintenance manual.
- Engage subtrades to collect required documents.
- Send draft manual to owners or architects for review and approval.
- Engage Superintendents to collect all required reports
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A history of project coordination experience, preferably in the commercial and retail petroleum construction industry
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or related education
- Demonstrated experience with document control and compilation, multiple project file management and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills via phone, email and in person
- Comfortable with technology and adept at embracing continuous change
