Website, UX/UI Designer

Overview

We are seeking a talented and innovative Website and UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging and user-friendly web pages that lead to more favorable business results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design principles, user-centered design processes, business/marketing and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work Duties & Responsibilities

Client Communication & Consultation

• Engage with clients to discuss website and graphic design requirements, layout preferences, and overall project aesthetics.
• Provide expert guidance on design choices that align with the client's brand identity and objectives.

Competitor & Audience Research

• Analyze competitor websites to identify industry trends, target audiences, and potential design improvements.
• Assess audience pain points and develop design strategies that effectively present the client's solutions.
• Organize and structure provided materials in a logical, user-friendly manner that encourages engagement and conversions.

User Experience & Journey Mapping

• Research and develop customer journey maps to enhance website navigation and user interactions.
• Ensure designs align with user behavior and business goals.

Graphic & Visual Design

• Create and update website wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and other visual elements.
• Design and optimize graphic assets to enhance website appeal and user experience.

Content Management & Website Maintenance

• Manage and update website content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to enhance website functionality.

Social Media Management

• Oversee and update social media accounts to maintain brand presence and engagement.
• Develop content strategies to align with marketing goals.

Process Improvement & AI Integration

• Continuously research and implement better solutions to optimize workflow and task efficiency.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance design processes and problem-solving capabilities.

Client Support & Documentation

• Answer client inquiries via phone or email and maintain clear, detailed records.
• Document project details, workflows, and guidelines for clients and developers to ensure seamless collaboration.

Qualifications

• Portfolio Requirement: A well-developed design portfolio is required.
• Education: Diploma or degree in Website Design, Graphic/Visual Arts, or related fields.
• Design & Aesthetic Skills: Strong aesthetic sense with the ability to assess and enhance desktop/mobile websites and other graphic projects.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and Responsive Website Design.
• Familiarity with Figma and Canva for design and prototyping.
• Communication Skills: Fluent in English (both written and verbal). Previous customer service experience is a plus, especially in handling client inquiries and maintaining professional interactions.
• Language Skills: Mandarin and Cantonese proficiency, as well as Chinese reading/typing, are considered an asset.
• Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of digital marketing strategies, user engagement, and conversion optimization is a plus.
• Understanding of SEO principles is an asset.
• Knowledge of Git, JavaScript, and PHP is a plus.
• Experience: At least one year of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Software & Adaptability: Quick learner with new software applications and systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and the ability to handle pressure.
• Confidentiality & Ethics: Must sign a confidentiality agreement and ensure the protection of client and project information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
