Full-time position | Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support (approximately 3–4 times per year)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a private household seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming home environment. The position is based in a family home located in Oakville.

Job Brief

You'll be responsible for general housekeeping duties, including regular cleaning, laundry, organization, and deep cleaning tasks.

Job Responsibilities:General Cleaning & Housekeeping:

  • Perform regular cleaning of all rooms, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting surfaces, and wiping down high-touch areas.
  • Make beds and refresh linens as needed.
  • Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of household waste.
  • Tidy and organize living spaces, maintaining a neat and clutter-free environment.
  • Clean and maintain outdoor areas such as the backyard and cabana (e.g., sweeping, light tidying).

Kitchen Maintenance:

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including countertops, sinks, and appliances.
  • Wash dishes and load/unload the dishwasher.
  • Deep clean the kitchen as needed, including the interior and exterior of the refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, pantry, and cupboards.

Laundry & Garment Care:

  • Wash, dry, fold, and put away clothing and household linens.
  • Iron garments and handle delicate laundry with care.
  • Monitor laundry supplies and inform homeowner when restocking is needed.

Meal Preparation & Service:

  • Assist with basic meal preparation according to household preferences.

Household Errands (Occasional):

  • Grocery shopping and restocking pantry items.
  • Running general household errands as requested (e.g., picking up dry cleaning or supplies).

Other Duties as Required

  • Assist with seasonal or deep cleaning tasks.
  • Support other household needs as they arise, with flexibility and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a private home or similar multi-faceted environment, with the ability to manage a variety of household responsibilities independently.
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to cleanliness, order, and high standards in all tasks.
  • Comfortable using cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively.
  • Trustworthy and discreet, with a high level of respect for the household's privacy.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and proactive attitude.
  • Able to follow directions while also taking initiative when needed.
