Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead HVAC Installer with G1 license to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, HVAC systems, and mechanical maintenance. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related equipment across various commercial and residential properties. The HVAC Installer will work closely with helpers and service technicians to ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. A valid G driver's license is required for this position.

Duties

  • Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, Rooftop units, Makeup Air units, Kitchen hoods, boilers, refrigeration systems, Sheet metal ductwork and related mechanical equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC/R equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
  • Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and refrigerant line installation.
  • Assist with service calls for system repairs or upgrades in residential or commercial settings.
  • Diagnose issues with HVAC systems using mechanical knowledge and field service techniques.
  • Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment during all phases of installation and repair projects.
  • Having a valid Sheet Metal License is considered an asset.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation, or service technician roles.
  • Proven experience as a team lead is essential.
  • Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, and property maintenance practices.
  • Experience with refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R systems.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to appliance repair, equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and general maintenance.
  • Familiarity with plumbing systems associated with HVAC setups is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience working with tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment is advantageous.
  • Prior field service experience involving air conditioning units or mechanical system installations is highly desirable.
  • Valid G driver's license is required for travel between job sites. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
