This role is pivotal in fostering employee engagement, building connections across offices and functions, and ensuring that leadership communications inspire confidence and alignment.

Under the direction of the Director, Marketing, Brand & Communications, the Manager of Internal Communications will develop communications and execute tactics that inform, inspire, and connect lawyers and business professionals to the firm's vision, culture, and priorities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an out-of-the-box thinker and agile communicator who embraces emerging technologies like generative AI. What You'll Do

  • Partner with Operations Team Leaders to ensure consistent, timely, and transparent communication.
  • Develop and implement a monthly internal newsletter aligned with the firm's overall business goals, values, and culture.
  • Maintain an internal communication calendar and support the preparation of content for leadership meeting occurring monthly.
  • Advise on communication approaches to support firm-wide initiatives, organizational change, and employer brand engagement.
  • Draft and edit internal announcements, leadership messages, newsletters, and intranet content with precision and tone appropriate for a law firm audience.
  • Manage internal communication channels (e.g., intranet, firm-wide emails, digital screens, town halls, and collaboration tools).
  • Coordinate communications around firm change initiatives, events, and milestones (e.g., technology rollouts, policy updates, EDI programs, office moves).
  • Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, inclusion, and a sense of community within the firm.
  • Develop and execute communications that celebrate achievements, spotlight teams, and reinforce the firm's culture and values.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve communication tools, channels, and content delivery methods.

What You'll Bring

  • You have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing internal communications strategies that drive engagement and alignment.
  • You have a minimum 7–10 years of experience in internal communications, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • You embrace evolving technology, like generative AI and possess exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for tone, clarity, and accuracy.
  • You are a strategic thinker with excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • You communicate in a professional manner, exercising discretion, sound judgment and tact when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • You demonstrate the ability to handle stress and multiple tasks in a composed, calm and professional manner.
  • You are a team player with a flexible attitude, have the ability to take initiative, set direction, and establish priorities working with minimal supervision.
  • You enjoy project work and do not shy away from rolling up your sleeves.
  • You possess advanced computer skills, with proficiency in AI, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other related software.
