Carpenter/Labourer/Handyman

Alpine View Construction is a home builder & renovations company serving the Columbia Valley BC. We are a fast growing company with many different types of projects on the go, and we are looking for someone to grow with us.

We are looking for people with past experience in the construction industry (ideally residential) either the handyman type, or a carpenter /apprentice. This job will require you to have good basic knowledge the building practices

In this line of work there are always new things to learn, new problems to work around, and plenty of hands on building.

(If you are a J-man carpenter, we are willing to pay top dollar for the right candidate with the potential for company equity and a managerial position)

Responsibilities:

Lift and carry building materials

Use hand tools, power tools, understand blue prints and can be trusted to work on their own

Construct projects to meet proper building standards.

Haul and place building materials into trucks and onto job sites.

Clean up debris from job sites.

Organize tools and materials.

Follow directions from job supervisors.

Have good communication skills and able to take feedback

Has own tools (basic hand tools are fine)

Has own vehicle (required)

Punctual and reliable

Framing

Drywall

Demolition

Tile setting

Flooring

Painting

Roofing

Deck building

Concrete Forming

Equipment operation

Trim/Baseboard/Finishing work

Siding

Finishing work

Landscaping (basic)

Masonry (basic)

Fall/winter Shifts are hr days M-F (Summer shifts hr days 4 days on 3 off)
