About the Role:

We are seeking a
Data Team Lead
to provide technical leadership for a team of 6–8 experienced members. This role supports
data migration activities
for the CRAVES Deployment Project, ensuring successful delivery of data migration and conversion. The position involves managing diverse data sources, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring a smooth transition to a SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the data team, manage stakeholders, supervise project tasks, and support the project manager/business owner in data migration delivery.

• Collaborate with SMEs, delivery teams, and the implementation partner/SaaS supplier to identify, define, document, and communicate data migration requirements.

• Arrange discovery sessions for current- and future-state analysis.

• Provide guidance to business users, support reporting needs, and perform data profiling.

• Identify project deliverables and tasks based on migration requirements; support project planning.

• Create and maintain an inventory of all legacy data and file assets.

• Develop the data migration strategy, validate it, manage approvals, and ensure successful implementation.

• Develop data migration specifications—data mapping, translation, identifying data for cleansing, and overseeing cleansing processes.

• Work with core and integration teams to identify migration requirements for integrated systems and align system owners with SaaS supplier activities.

• Identify, manage, and monitor risks and issues related to data migration.

• Moderate data governance meetings and produce regular migration status reports.

• Produce comparative analysis reports showing readiness, quality checks, and data conversion vs. source values.

• Prepare reports for the Auditor General demonstrating Quality Control completion before go-live phases.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field +
minimum 6 years
in information management or related field.

6+ years
technical leadership managing diverse delivery teams on complex data migration projects in large enterprises.

•
8+ years
ETL design & implementation involving extraction and provisioning of data from various legacy systems.

•
8+ years
applying data migration best practices and data mapping.

•
3+ years
experience working on
CAMA projects
in a provincial government for assessment of properties.

Scored Requirements

8 years
hands-on experience in data migration analysis (discovery, mapping, extraction, cleansing, loading).

6 years
working with various data formats (database extracts, spreadsheets, JSON, CSV, etc.).

6 years
experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Protection.

experience working in a collaborative team environment with both autonomous and joint tasks.

experience on CAMA projects specific to service delivery agencies/government.

• Experience with
at least one SaaS implementation
involving complex data conversion (1 project reference).
